本期图书更是偏门，大家就来凑凑热闹吧。

本期是上一期的继续，因为文字太多，所以才截成两篇。先上个链接，错过的可以看看。

河边谈书 篇二：过大年，看好书，2019甲骨文值得期待的好书前瞻及推荐（中国篇一）本期图书算是偏门，做好心理准本。在国内，甲骨文系列书绝对可以算是人文社科类图书的标杆系列，严肃的选材，精美的印刷，考究的封面，还有不删改的好做派，口碑是没得说的。当然啦，你要说甲骨文也有烂书啊，的确，国内的出版物，呵呵，烂书难以避免。还有社科院也肯定有挂名的译者，所以有些翻译也的确让人非常不舒服。毕河边有只象| 赞18 评论31 收藏24查看详情

如果说上一篇有三本可能会买，这篇估计有三本大家是不会买的了。 我也想不通为啥甲骨文会选这样的题材，实在太小众啊。对此我是绝对服气的，谁也不敢保证甲骨文最后会真的把这几本书都出版。

隋唐王朝及其突厥-蒙古强邻：文化、权力和关系，580-800年

Sui-Tang China and Its Turko-Mongol Neighbors:Culture,Power and Connections,580-800《隋唐王朝及其突厥-蒙古强邻：文化、权力和关系，580-800年》，原著由牛津大学出版，似乎很有学术分量分量。作者Jonathan Karam Skaff就并不怎么出名，1998年从密歇根大学获得博士学位，美国宾夕法尼亚州西盆斯贝格大学教授，但是美亚上面只能找到他这一本著作，从这些方面来看似乎都不算是一个出色的人物，2012年出版现在仍能买到头版，主要关注点在古中国和中亚关系，算是一带一路范围内的出版物。和上一期最后两本一样，面向专业人士，普通读者购买的可能不会太多，除非想要收集齐甲骨文全部书，不然个人也不太建议购买。

帝国的暮光：蒙古帝国治下的东北亚

Empire's Twilight: Northeast Asia under the Mongols《帝国的暮光：蒙古帝国治下的东北亚》，作者鲁大维 (David M. Robinson)是研究元明为主，原著由哈佛亚洲研究中心2009年出版，Colgate Univerity教授（你没有看错，我也没有拼错，就是高露洁那个词），虽然那所学校不怎么样，还在偏得不能再偏的地方，但是作者可是普林斯顿大学博士，而且还出版了好几部相关专著，比上面那位要靠谱。不过这本书从书名就可以看出内容可能会让国人觉得不适，因为在果然眼中元朝就是中国历史中的一个朝代，蒙古帝国等同于中华帝国。可在西方人的观念中就不是那样了，蒙古帝国是中国以外的一个体系。

The rise of the Mongol empire transformed world history. Its collapse in the mid-fourteenth century had equally profound consequences. Four themes dominate this study of the late Mongol empire in Northeast Asia during this chaotic era: the need for a regional perspective encompassing all states and ethnic groups in the area; the process and consequences of pan-Asian integration under the Mongols; the tendency for individual and family interests to trump those of dynasty, country, or linguistic affiliation; and finally, the need to see Koryo Korea as part of the wider Mongol empire.

Martial Spectacles of the Ming Court《神武军容耀天威：明代皇室的尚武风习与展现》这书名的翻译实在霸气，跟上面那本出自同一个作者鲁大维 (David M. Robinson)，同样是Harvard-Yenching Institute Monograph Series丛书，原著由哈佛亚洲研究中心2013年出版。不知道为什么封面用的似乎更像是元人的打扮，估计对于严肃出版物没有那么考究。一样的先看看内容介绍：

Like most empires, the Ming court sponsored grand displays of dynastic strength and military prowess. 这翻译我自己是怎么翻都想不出来要怎么理通顺它，特别是Martial Spectacles这个词组到底该怎么翻译是一个大难题。亚马逊上面又没有提供试读，更加难以去体会它的真实含义。我是宣布放弃了。大家估摸着去理解吧。我个人理解是通过对文学和艺术作品中的明军（似乎应该是亲军，锦衣卫之类）形象进行探讨，军队管辖权，归属以及使用都在朝廷上下一直理不清，然后还研究了明军与周边国家的关系。

相信看到这里基本都打打退堂鼓了，照例贴个原著链接吧，有兴趣有条件的可以找来看看。

Imperial Twilight: The Opium War and the End of China's Last Golden Age《帝国黄昏：鸦片战争与中国最后盛世的终结》作者裴士锋STEPHEN R. PLATT，裴士锋就相对上面两位要出名点，《天国之秋》《湖南人与现代中国》让他为国人所知，更成为甲骨文的当红炸子鸡，不对，应该说当家花旦。耶鲁大学博士，史景迁的得意门生，都让他加分不少，而其作品的切入点更让国人耳目一新。所以这部新作自然是被第一时间引进。书名和前面一本很尴尬的都叫Imperial Twilight。先来看看简述：

看完简述似乎也没有什么干货可以得知具体内容，不过对裴士锋的作品是无需担心质量的。和上面三本由学术氛围浓厚的大学出版商出版不同，裴士锋的作品是有畅销书出版商兰登书屋旗下的Knopf出版，由此也多少能看得出此书的定位还是和上面三本有所区别。

这期补充的四本甲骨文待出版书籍，估计只有最后一本能引起大家的兴趣。甲骨文选题感觉已经不是曲高和寡，阳春白雪那么简单，而是口味很奇特（也可以说独到吧），2019出版计划里面和中国相关的书普通读者的可读性实在太低，能引起购买欲望的估计也就两三本。对于甲骨文2019书目的其他书，我也不知道能不能再总结一些出来，看来有点难。
